Roux turned 5 last week! We hosted a super-hero-themed birthday party for Roux and his friends. We even had Captain America and Spiderman come and surprise the birthday boy (and guests) and the surprise was a HUGE hit. They took the kids through a soldier training camp & it was the cutest thing ever. It was such a fun weekend celebrating our earth-side angel. ✨
I had so much fun planning every simple detail because I cannot help myself 🤣 . Thank you everyone for your sweet DMs about the party and decor — you are my people! I compiled a list of everything we purchased for the party so you can replicate the celebration in your own homes.
We served super simple foods this time, all of Roux’s favorite things. We ordered chicken minis from Chick-fil-a, served popcorn, made fruit skewers, Captain [America] Crunch cereal, a few veggies, and made our favorite Starbucks copycat Blueberry muffins, in mini form.
I need to share one detail because it’s likely the thing I get the most messages out: the sweatshirt I wore. It’s linked below but, I wish I could say I had a better experience with the Etsy shop owner. From communication, inaccurate inventory, wrong tracking info, and an almost didn’t make it to my house in time situation – it wasn’t the best. The good news though – maybe I was in an isolated situation AND I’ve seen that same sweatshirt on other Etsy shops too. OK, now that part is over with!

First, and most important 😉 , THE CAKE!
Huge shoutout to The Cake Girl. She made this amazing, on theme cake. It was as beautiful as it was delicious! She has made Roux’s cake every year & is extremely talented!
