This is my last bump unless God makes a major change! When I was pregnant with Roux – we were living in Virginia…. In the WINTER. Now, we are in Florida. So, the majority of the maternity clothes that I saved – just do not work. It’s way too hot.
So, I decided to invest in a few pieces early on in my pregnancy & create a mini maternity capsule wardrobe. Instead of buying more of a variety – I stuck with basics so I could just repeat and mix & match as often as possible. I actually packed up a bunch of my pre-pregnancy closet to limit decision fatigue when I step into my closet! This has been helping me a lot! I have a pregnancy GO-TO section – and occasionally I’ll add in a pre-pregnancy item if it fits, but most do not! 😛
My strategy this time around: invest in higher quality items that will last my entire pregnancy, and give myself fewer options. For example, I very rarely wear jeans and I’ve realized I do not like covering my belly with thick materials – it’s just too hot here. So, jeans are out! I’m sticking with dresses, athletic wear, simple joggers, etc.
Check out the items I chose to invest in below!
